Week One: Day Three

Day Three: V&A Museum Visit

Our third day was a visit to the Victoria and Albert Museum. Though there were various exhibitions we were able to see, the main exhibition we were looking at was 'Memory Palace'. Described by the museum as 'a walk-in story that brings to life a new work of fiction by the author Hari Kunzru. This narrative world is visualised through a series of commissions by 20 internationally acclaimed illustrators, graphic designers and typographers'. Memory Palace in my opinion, was a vastly creative and exciting exhibition - I thought the differing take son Kunzru's novel were interesting and well selected. Though, my one criticism would be that the overall idea behind the work was not often obvious through the exhibition  and it was only after I read the actual book and research the exhibition did I really actually understand it. But overall, I thought Memory Palace was well done and a very interesting show.
